Ollie Hughes
Husband, father, son, brother and friend. Missed by so many but forever remembered for his kindness, personality, quirkiness and the love for his family and friends.
Ollie was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in September 2020. For over two and a half years he fought this awful disease with strength and positivity. He focused on creating music and memories for his kids.
Ollie passed in April 2023 leaving behind this amazing album as a gift for all to enjoy.
With Ollie’s wife Sheena’s support, the band committed to donate all proceeds from the Album, including door receipts and merchandise sold on the launch night, to two fantastic causes that supported Ollie and his family during this time.
The Album has raised over €12,000 to date.
On behalf the below causes, and all those connected to the The Ollie Hughes Band, we want to say a massive Thank you for your generous support!
St. Francis Hospice, Dublin
St. Francis Hospice provides a specialist palliative care service. In order to provide this vital service to their patients and families, like Ollie and his, they rely heavily on the generosity of donations.
Ollie was under the care of St. Francis Hospice at home for sometime before transitioning to the hospice in Blanchardstown. The care that he received was second to none and we are all extremely greatly for the fantastic care and service they provide.
